Hi all, I'm a new Chrome user (less than ten minutes). I've googled around trying to find out how to put the tabs on the side of the browser as opposed to the top (Opera has this feature, as do several Firefox addons), however I cannot find a solution. Does anybody know how this can be done?

I am on Google Chrome 3.0.183.1 Alpha on Ubuntu Linux, which I understand does not yet support extensions. However, if there is a solution for Window or Mac I would like to know about it as well so that I could keep abreast of development and request that this be added to the Linux version.

Just Read an article about this google chrome Dual view ,through which you can split your screen into two halves side by side.Mans never saw something like this before and thinks that this could really prove very handy specially when we are comparing something or may be need to copy some text from one page to another..
You must try this out.

I tried to look up some older thread, but nothing.

Is there any chance to use plugins in portable Chrome v.4?
In menu there is no Extensions item.
Because it is portable, if right click mouse on exe file and properties, I can't add --enable...... because it is portable, route is given disc I:\....
I can not change registry values.

How can it be set up?

Hey! I was wondering if you could make a theme that alters the tabs, search and bookmarks bar only, with a metallic scheme similar to the Daft Punks bookmark, search bar and tab bar scheme. Oh! and make the function icons glow. I use the Speed Dial extension so I have a custom wallpaper, but the Daft Punk graphics spill through a little bit in the bookmarks and tab bars. Also if you could, would it be possible to extend the metallic areas from the tabs to also include the search bar and the bookmarks bar.

Incidentally I noticed that in the Speed Dial extension it allows you to use animated themes or even flash themes or I think streaming video as a theme. I thought that was interesting and could possibly allow more creativity in the future. Also is it possible to make the search text input area glow too? Now that would be bomb diggety!

I've gotta learn to do this on my own. Just never get to be behind a computer long enough! I know, sucks to be me...
