There is a new clone in town. It seems that these browsers are popping out everywhere with open source code widely avilable. Soon there will be more browsers than Linux distros!
SRWare Iron is a new browser based on the chromium open source code, but without the privacy issues of Google Chrome. It uses the latest version of the WebKit engine just like the Safari and Chrome browsers.
Some features:
1. SRWare Iron does not create/use any unique ID for each user. (is this a feature?)
2. SRWare Iron does not make any suggestions like the “Google suggest” in Chrome. Chrome sends this "suggest" query data to their servers
3. SRWare Iron does not send any details about crashes and errors like Google Chrome does if configured.
4. SRWare Iron uses less memory than Google Chrome and reports are saying that it seems to be faster. Maybe its because it is using of latest version of Webkit?
Seems like SRWare Iron is good if you are concerned about privacy.
Try it out, it is a free download for Windows only: http://www.srware.net/en/software_srwar ... wnload.php
